Dennis and Courtney discuss the keys to successful aging. Their presentation will include the threats (investment and non-investment) to happiness later in life and what “pro-active” steps can be taken to head off major problems before they occur. They will discuss the components of successful aging and what baby boomers are demanding in terms of home health care and senior housing options. Dennis is providing Fourth Quarter Champions, a companion workbook to his Fourth Quarter Fumbles book from 2018.

About Our Speakers:
Dennis Stearns, CFP, is president of Stearns Financial Group, a billion-dollar investment manager and financial planning firm with offices in Greensboro and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Stearns has been called “One of the leading scenario experts in the financial industry” by the Financial Planning Association. He is a regular contributor to TheStreet.com and the Journal of Financial Planning. Stearns Financial is one of the few firms in the country to be included for seven consecutive years in the Financial Times” Top 300” registered investment advisers.
Courtney Kidwell is an advisor in the Greensboro office where she enjoys serving clients who include (but are not limited to) business owners and women in transition. Courtney came to SFG in 2015, after a break to start a family, and she has enjoyed gradually growing her business. Her experience prior to her break included 10 years advising clients in the investment, banking, and insurance industries. She also has a very active volunteer life in the community with leadership roles in the Junior League (president, treasurer, fundraising chair) and various roles in her church. Courtney enjoys helping clients make educated decisions about their financial outlook, based upon their current situation to achieve the work/life balance that they desire. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina , Chapel Hill. She is a CFP and a CEPA (Certified Exit Planning Advisor). She also holds prior registrations with the NASD (predecessor to FINRA) and NC Life and Insurance.
