Dennis Stearns, a multi-award winning financial adviser, is back to kick off our year with a discussion about what economic scenarios we may see, including analysis of various Post-Fed stimulus and global geo-political risk scenarios. Always one of our popular speakers (come early for a good seat!), Dennis will discuss various investment strategies for different seasons of your life, along with updates on Stearns Financial’s Super Trend research and which trends are creating headwinds or tailwinds in the investment markets and for the U.S. and global economy.

About our Speaker
Dennis Stearns, CFP, is a financial advisor and president of Stearns Financial Group, a fee-only financial planning and investment management firm with offices in Chapel Hill and Greensboro, North Carolina. SFSG has clients around the U.S. and Canada. He and his firm have won numerous awards for their proactive investment management and financial scenario expertise, including being named to the Financial Times “Top 300” Advisors list. Stearns has been called “one of the leading futurists and scenario experts in the financial services industry” by the Financial Planning Association. He chairs strategic planning for a nano-tech center and is on the board of a technology business accelerator.

Dennis has led and participated in numerous think tanks with thought leaders from around the country on investment strategies, retirement planning and how super trends will impact our lives in the future. Stearns Financial’s research has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Investor’s Business Daily, the Journal of Financial Planning, Financial Planning magazine and numerous other publications.

Dennis is a former chess master and played on one of the most winning teams in Pan-American history. He now coaches an inner city chess club and occasionally plays up to 50 people at the same time to raise money for children’s charities.
