Russ Emrath runs a platinum financial services practice at Ameriprise Financial. He joined Ameriprise in 2008, in the same month Bear Stearns collapsed. Since then, he’s studiously absorbed and applied lessons learned asset allocation, investment selection and portfolio management in pursuit of his client’s financial goals. Dedicated to comprehensive financial planning, he believes strongly that many investment mistakes result from the lack of a clearly defined goal. He has been a featured speaker at the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants’ annual “Hot Topics” convention. Emrath lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, and holds a MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
