About our Speaker:
Dr. Hungerford is a money-manager and part owner at Woodard & Co., located in the NC Triad. He helps manage $500 million for clients. Having established an Economic Education Center in 1978 to work with public school teachers and conduct hundreds of economic education seminars, Dr. Hungerford transitioned easily to recommending mutual funds. His first pick in 1984 was Fidelity Magellan. Librarian asked him to do a free no-load mutual funds seminar in 1986 and he began his regular radio appearances in 1990. After retiring as a Professor at Winston-Salem State University in 1992, Dr. Hungerford and John Woodard founded Woodard and Company Asset Management Group, a fee-only practitioner, where they now manage $500 million, almost all in mutual funds, for clients at their office near Winston-Salem.
